Manager for Cover FX
Hello out there in Rosacea land. I am actually a counter manager for Cover FX at South Coast Plaza in Orange County CA for Nordstrom. I see a llllllot of rosacea patients usually on a daily basis. If you are wondering what is out there for you, this is it! Everyone that I put this on not only looks fabulous but can't believe the transformation this gives them. The vitamin E helps begin to reduce the redness in the skin, so you are not only getting total coverage you are also getting a lot of nutrients. With the setting powder your makeup will not move all day! If you have any questions please get a hold of me at Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza, my name is Sarah.

Relief At Last
I've tried several cosmetic brands on the market but nothing out there can compare to CoverFx. By chance I happened to walk into Sephora's and asked the sales associate what would be the best makeup product for my condition and she immediated informed me about CoverFx. Needless to say I tried it and I'll forever be a CoverFx user. Thank you CoverFx. I no longer feel embarrassed about my condition....

Didn't work for me.
Cover FX foundation did NOT agree with my skin. As a rosacea sufferer, the titanium dioxide in the sunscreen caused an allergic reaction on my skin. My pores clogged up and my skin became itchy and red after using this product. Be forewarned! This product is definitely not for everyone!

horrible product
I had to use a sponge to apply the makeup due to its concealer quality. Makeup is very thick and hard to blend. Using the sponge to try to blend the makeup irritated my skin right away. I have combo skin, by the end of the day my face was super oily & I broke out right after wearing it. What a waste of $40!!

Love It
I found this makeup after reading about it on this website. I went to the Nordstroms in OC and the makeup woman picked the exact right shade for me. She applied it and the powder and wow, what a difference! I must admit that she applied it heavier than I do, but at first, I was shocked because my face has been so red for so long, that I didn't remember that I'm very fair. I just love this makeup. It has saved me. I've received many compliments and people ask if my rosacea has subsided.

contains chemical sunscreens
I have mild rosacea and extremely sensitive, dry skin. I almost ordered this foundation from Nordstrom.com based on all the great reviews, but I happened to check the ingredient list and the active ingredients are oxtinoxate, octocrylene and oxybenzone. I don't know about other rosacea sufferers, but my face is super reactive to these ingredients.

Powder FX Mineral Powder Foundation "Powder FX - Pressed Mineral Powder is enriched with oil absorbing qualities, resulting in a matte finish. The formulation was designed to provide a sheer to medium matte coverage. It is oil-free, fragrance-free, and paraben-free." Purchased at Sephora, full coverage. No problem with eyes burning. I felt like there was a mask on my face as the day progressed. Great return policy. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Natural FX Water Based Foundation SPF 15 "Provides hydrating sheer to medium coverage for the face and body. The formulation was designed to achieve a natural looking, satin finish." Purchased at Sephora, excellent selection of colors. No problem with eyes. Colors did not match my skin tone. Rosacea came through on nose and chin as day progressed. Please note, my make-up is applied at 6am and removed at 8pm or later. You may not experience the same problem. ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Mineral FX Pure Mineral Foundation SPF 15 Haven't yet tried this product.

Rosacea Subtypes
Subtype 1: Erythematotelangiectatic rosacea
characterized by flushing and persistent redness, and may also include visible blood vessels.
Subtype 2: Papulopustular rosacea
characterized by persistent redness with transient bumps and pimples.
Subtype 3: Phymatous rosacea
characterized by skin thickening, often resulting in an enlargement of the nose from excess tissue.
Subtype 4: Ocular rosacea
characterized by ocular manifestations such as dry eye, tearing and burning, swollen eyelids, recurrent styes and potential vision loss from corneal damage.

Rosacea Stages
Pre-Rosacea
the first cardinal sign of rosacea: blood vessels dilate to more stimuli, open wider and stay open for longer periods of time compared to normal persons. No visible damage can normally be seen.
Mild Rosacea
begins when the facial redness induced by flushing persists for an abnormal length of time - usually 1/2 an hour or more after a trigger. Those who have frequent pre-rosacea flushing are highly susceptible to progressing to mild rosacea. Some of the common triggers for a facial flush are heat, cold, emotions, exercise, topical irritants and allergic reactions.
Moderate Rosacea
as facial flushing becomes more frequent and intense, vascular damage occurs. This can result in long lasting redness, swelling and inflammatory papules and pustules. Telangiectasia (damaged micro blood vessels, often visible on the surface of the skin) may be noticed in the areas where flushing is worst.
Severe Rosacaea
characterised by intense bouts of facial flushing, severe inflammation, facial pain, swelling and burning sensations. Sufferers may develop intolerance to products they were able to use before. Also inflammatory papules, pustules and nodules may be present. Some experience a bulbous enlargement of the nose, known as rhinophyma. This is just a guide, you may of course experience symptoms outside these ranges.
