Default What do you think about mineral oils in topical products?

Hi all!

I'm really interested in natural skincare, you know with more naturally products..

I've read so much bad about mineraloil and wounder what you think about it?

I've read it clogs pores whichs slows the skins abillity to eliminate toxins, that it's diffecult to absorb for the skin and much more...

Do you use it?

Mineral oil = BAD, imho. I wouldn't use anything that contained it. It is heavy and nasty. It is not absorbed well, but sits on top of the skin.

I am not against natural oils from plants or animals, I use and love them. Just not mineral oil.

Hi-
Mineral Oil is actually a petroleum product. It is used as a moisturizer in most popular body washes, oils, lotions, etc. The way it works is that it traps the body's own moisture inside, so it doesn't "escape" as fast, therefore hydrating the skin, or keeping the skin from dehydrating as fast.
But is IS a petroleum product....
