Default Rosacea misdiagnosed as KP - is that possible/likely/normal?

So I went to see another derm today, and he said that he didn't think that I had rosacea but instead have keratosis pilaris faceii with associated redness (apparently similar redness to rosacea). Anyone know anything about this? He said that the initial treatment's the same from a laser perspective (he preferred to start with vbeam on me first to see how that goes, then see whether IPL's necessary).

I'm just so confused.....
