Third day with the probiotics and no problem. Must have been a fluke reaction the first day or just a blow to my system! "What the heck is THIS??!!"

Default same here

i started taking oracea a few months ago and i have noticed a severe bloated feeling. i wasn't sure if it was just a pms thing, but i definitely know now that it's the pill. i feel like i ate a ton of salt and my body feels tight. it stinks and i'm going to ask my derm to put me back on regular doxy (don't know why she took me off in the first place!). good to know it's not just me.

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing this as well. I stopped taking it just prior to getting a VBeam test patch which was about 3 weeks ago. I had the test patch done last week. I want to see if the laser is effective without any interference so that I know it works for me (or not). That said, I have noticed a huge (ha!) difference in the way that I feel now that I am a few weeks off of the Oracea and am debating whether to go back on it when the time is right.

The probiotics are a great addition to my diet. Thanks again for the suggestion everyone! It helps to combat the effects of the Oracea.

Default Boooooooo

me too! ... I'm usually 115/116, and been on and off on many antidepressants and nonce have made me gain weight as quickly as oracea. I'm averaging 2 pounds per week!... =( I'm already 122. Awwwww if only it didn't work so well for my ocular rosacea.

Dont be discouraged, it varies from person to person. I suspect mine is water weight.

After all this eye/skin crap popped up suddenly I CANT BE FAT TOO!! grrr .. haha.

Aww! That's what I was thinking! "Are you kidding me? Weight gain, too!?" As I mentioned in an earlier post, I actually made a decision to stop the Oracea to see what would happen with my VBeam test patch on it's own. That was a bad idea as my p&p's came back after I got them under control. This sort of issue definitely needs a "several prong approach". I definitely can't just rely on one thing such as Oracea, diet, topical creams or laser. So, I went back on Oracea at the end of June which is just now beginning to get my rosacea back on track along with a restricted diet, etc. I'll go for my VBeam in the middle of August.

Off to the gym in the morning to combat the weight gain from this!
