Default Cleocin T Gel

A derm prescribed this medication to apply it on my acne in my neck and chin. My insurance wont cover and I have 2 pay 49 bucks for 60 grams. I just wanted to know if it was worth the money.
He injected the cysts on my beard area and they are almost gone I was told that gel is an antibiotic like metrogel but for acne.
I told the doctor that I was sure the last shave cream I used was the caused of my cysts because they appeared only in the area I shave. He told me petrolatum was an oclusive agent, I really hope this is the end of this torture for the last 3 weeks because it seemed like I was getting a new bump every day.
I was thinking that maybe I- could use this gel on my beard area and the metrogel on the rest of my face, as maintenance (only if it works) . But 2-3 times per week I apply DERMAdoctor acne serum to prevent pimples on my face but I dont think I will apply the cleocin gel on my face even if it works on my neck and chin. I don't want to create more problems.
Any suggestions? I checked for a rebate but there was none. I will called the derm to check if he has samples.
