this text speak about that GI diseases, but it seems that when speaking about GI desaese, it's like crohn or ulcerative colitis.
However, I made a test here in Europe to see the DAO level in my body, by blood sample. I have 73 U/ml, and it has to be 80 U/ml or higher to be ok.So they say I have a "probable" histamine intolerance.
The test is D-HIT, maybe you can find that in the USA too. The firm that develops it is SCIOTEC, an austrian laboratory.

I purchased Histame (30 pills for about $30 @ vitamin shoppe) two days ago after reading this thread (more money down the drain LOL). I've been taking 4/day (1 every 4 hours beginning at 8:00 AM). I gotta say my eyes are feeling really good (no dryness at all) since starting. Haven't noticed any skin benefits yet so I'm still very skeptical, and the eye improvements could just be a random thing - but I'll report back when my trial is up.

Hello
I'll try to answer the different questions.
-I take a Histame once in the morning before breakfast and once in the evening before dinner. For lunch I try not to take another (due to expense) but I will if I'm going to eat a higher histamine food (banana, shrimp, deli meat, etc.)
-I don't know if it will help dry out your eyes or not
-I don't really find I flush after I eat right away. My reactions to foods are very delayed, like a day or two
I also wanted to report that I had started to run out this week so I could only take one per day. I was puffier again. I can't wait to get my hands on some more so I can de-puff. I don't know if this will help a lot of people but for those of us whose rosacea is related to foods with histamine it may be useful.
Regards
Queta

I've been taking Histame for 8 days now (4 per day, every 4 hours). I will say that my condition has improved noticeably, but not cured. I should also say that I switched from doxycycline 50mg/day to Oracea at the same time so it could be that - although Oracea is doxy from what I understand. It could just be coincidence.
