Trying the anti histamine approach
Ever since reading how Queta had success with Histame, I have decided to try anti-histamines to see if they give me any improvement. After seeing how I have some similar symptoms to Queta, such as watery eyes, dark circles under the eyes and generally itchiness sometimes, I'm hoping this will work.
If I see any improvement I'll be trying histamine since it's apparently much better than an anti-histamine.
Well, the packet says recommended dose 1 tablet per 4 to 6 hours...
Let's take 4 at once and see what happens !
I'll let you know how it goes

Im kind of trying the same thing - overdosing on antihistimines and anti-inflams. Think it helps a bit. Good luck with you.

Hello
Wow-4 at once. That will probably knock you out. I'd be a little careful with that. I haven't noticed any real benefit of taking more anti-histamines than recommended, to be honest with you.
Regards
Queta

These AREN'T the non-drowsy kind, but even with 4 at once I feel perfectly awake :S Stange
Well, at the moment, no flushes since taking them, and haven't taken my clonidine yet tonight.
...cautious optimism Like I said, even if they don't work I'm still trying the Histame

Possible progress:
More energy, feel more awake, less feeling in my face, less standalone redness, actually had a full on conversation in Greggs this morning (Bakers) with a woman working there, usually flush in there like mad because it's so warm, but nothing....
I hope this works out, I took like 4 at once though lol

Just flushed.... I went slightly red, even though I felt on fire.... nice
Also, what the hell? I have grown a beard over night, like covering the bottom half of my face. I've always had very light facial hair, and never any like this, very weird, maybe unrelated

Hi RBS
Did you manage to buy these somewhere in the UK or online? I looked but couldn't find anywhere in the UK selling them.
Thanks

Just general allergy tablets from the chemist, cost around £4 for a decent sized pack

Well time for an update....
I've been taking 2 anti histamines after everything I eat, and my skin has never felt so calm. I had actually forgot what a cool face feels like, to the point where now my face feels "cold" since it's been so long
I'm gonna keep it up and hope I can maintain these results. Wish me luck!

I've just tried antihistamines and have had luck!
As my first thread explained, I’ve been struggling with a red face and a little red-dot like rash since I reacted badly to a particular skin care range earlier this year. My derm diagnosed me with rosacea. Although I definitely doubt his diagnosis, nothing has seemed to work too much at all and I haven’t been able to put anything on my face without breaking out in a rash.
Fed up, I went to the chemist on Friday to look for an antihistamine and bought Telfast 180mg (Fexofenadine hydrochloride - non drowsy). Telfast is the Australian name, not sure what it's called in other countries. The pharmacist said that it’s usually for hives and itchy rashes but that I could give it a go. I’ve taken it once a day since (missed out on Sunday) and I haven’t had much of an outbreak at all since, no rash, and for the first time in months I’ve been able to not wear makeup!! I had a pretty large Saturday night, and since the initial allergic reaction, if I drink anything or stay out too late my skin is shocking. However, it wasn't too bad at all when I got home, and after having a few hours sleep, any mild redness from the evenings activities were gone. Huge improvement.
I don’t want to get too excited or get my hopes up as I know it’s only been a couple of days, but I think it's definitely worth a go! I've found a face wash that has soothed my skin (QV Exfoliating Polish) and have been taking Zantac on and off as well. They could be helping too, but I only noticed the big results after taking the Telfast. Not sure if I should be taking it constantly, is that healthy? I'm still hoping my apparent 'rosacea' is just an allergic reaction that's gone on for a few months too long, though.
