    Default Best Seb Derm Treatments

I have been diagnosed with rosacea + seb derm. I am hot to all the major rosacea therapies and their pros and cons. But seb derm is new territory for me. Any suggestions?

In particular, has anyone had any success with head and shoulders (which, BTW is my derm's first line of defense for such a condition)

    Thanks for your time.

    - Elidel for flair ups. It will feel warm, but it goes away after a while. Don't use any steroid cream on it, just the Elidel.

    - Very Low dose Accutane if your skin is very oily to reduce sebum

    - a little bit of sunshine always helps, but I know its hard if you have rosacea too.

    - Find a good cleanser that does not bother your Seb Derm, after a while you should see results.

If anyone could help with suggestions about sub derm I also would appriceiate any help with this illusive problem. Actually at this point my red face has been easier to live with then the sub derm. My eyebrows have almost completely fallen out, and my head it itching and I'm afraid my hair is also thinning out fast on my scalp around my face. Am I going to lose the hair on my head too? Is there a sub derm discussion board?
    Thanks, and Happy Easter....Roxanne

    Sorry,

I should have introduced this topic in the "conditions that are related to rosacea" section of this board. Could a moderator please move this.

I react to every type of dandruff treatment there is, except light Salicytic Acid which I can't find anymore. I now use Free & Clear shampoo which seems to be the only thing I've found that I don't react to and also does a good job. Also, I can't shampoo more frequently than every 4 days or I get irritated. Bummer.
When the seb derm shows as a breakout it's only on my forehead and eyebrows and seems to be only dietary related for those. I use Desowen practically daily on my forehead, though, to help keep the scaling away.
