Can somone answer this Those with Rosacea and SD
Ive tried looking at old post for the answer but thought i would get more answer by posting it agian.
So many people have Rosacea and SD.
Now if you have SD are you more prone to getting Rosacea? Or do most of you have SD then got Rosacea from using to much steriods?
The reason is because i have SD and am getting some of the syptoms of Rosacea but how can they tell the difference?
My cheeks just look pink and really greasy and burn a little.
Someone with SD and Rosacea can you help me

Yo! I have both. I had eczema outbreaks on my face all the time growing up as a kid from what I recall. Then when I was about 15 I guess I starting getting SD. I then used steroids on my SD till I was 23, and that turned into SD and rosacea. I have had real trouble the last 2 years with both, but I am coming around very good right now. I took accutane and waited the 6 months after and have had 6 IPL's so far. I use Elidel for my SD outbreaks and it works great. Some of my oil has returned after teh accutane, so I think I'm gonna go back on it after a few more IPL's, which are working great.

If you were to use steroids on your face for a long time it could provoke an initial bout of rosacea, although short term usage should not.
However existing rosacea sufferers should avoid using steroid creams totally!!
Any exzma or dermatitis type outbreaks can be eliminated with a fungicidal cream not containing any cortisone!!

right but so many of the people that post on here have both Rosacea and Sd do most of you have both because youve used steriods for to long or going back to my origanal questions When you have Sd or Rosacea are you bound to get both because they are so closly related
