    Default Dr. Nase - Supplements

Dr. Nase, in your opinion and purely theoretical, how much cleareance/improvement could and should one actully expect from taking supplements like Pycnogenol/GSE, ALA, Ester-C, Omega Twin oil, GliSODin, Zinc Gluconate etc?

    Here's my anecdotal $.02.

I just started the whole supplement thing, after I found that ibuprofen decreased background redness for me. Got me thinking that supplements might actually help.

First, I started taking boswellia and fish oil. There was noticeable improvement, so I added some other stuff.

I bought some Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Zinc Gluconate. I think the ALA really did it for me, I've been almost pale lately. I'm going to start taking more, to try to find the optimal level.

Oh, I also ordered some calendula oil which I'm going to try on my face. It kills bacteria and decreases inflammation (supposedly) so maybe it'll work. I think there could be mites or something in my skin which irritates it, which is why anti-inflammatory stuff seems to help me.

Yep, ALA seemed to have worked very good for me too. But my package from Vitaminlife.com haven't arrived yet so I'm out of supplements during the weekend!

    I believe 250 mg x 2/day is a good dose.
