Hey Dr. Nase, just curious about your thoughts on Zhongzhou Medical Ointment, Acarid soap, and z cream at http://www.rosaceans.com/html/z6.html and if you think they can help me with my rosacea and cystic acne battle. Would it help my acne at least and not aggravate the rosacea and maybe help the rosacea a little too? Do you think I can use these in conjunction with other things like plexion sct and I use a zinc sulfur mask and salicyic acid just in the forehead & chin area, only vanicream, complex 15, and oil of olay cleanser on cheeks. A couple of reports have come back to me that they experienced an allergic reaction to the Z cream which is not at all unusual since in any treatment certain ones cannot tolerate a treatment or don't get the desired results. The X Factor >

Then the Xin Fumanling Cream (X cream) with or without metronidazole has been helpful for them which is a moisturizer.

The Acarid soap is the recommended cleanser and is a mild soap. The Acarid soap for men has no frangrance.

The majority of reports have come back postive that the Zhongzhou Medical Ointment (Z cream for short) shows improvement within a month. Some have reported it takes three months. The side effects of the Z cream include, tearing of the eyes due to the menthol and dryness or flakiness of the skin. To handle the tearing it has been suggested to use the Z cream only at night and immediately close the eyes and go to sleep. The cool menthol effect is reported to be soothing to some, while others find this objectionable. Dryness and flakiness can be handled during the day by using a moisturizer, the X cream being the recommended one without the metronidazole, but some choose the X cream with the 3% metronidazole.

The Rosacea Diet has a history now going back to 1999 that this treatment has indeed helped hundreds of rosaceans to control rosacea. It is not an easy diet and is probably one of the more controversial treatments ever introduced for rosacea. However, those who have reported back who actually tried my diet the majority have said it works.

Many in the above group have reported success also using the Z cream.

While the results above are modest, they indeed show that the regimen I suggest is working for some rosaceans and the reports continue to come in that indeed this works to control rosacea. The costs are minimal compared with IPL, Laser, or with some prescription treatments.
