    Default ATOPALM MLE Cream

Anyone try ATOPALM MLE Cream? This stuff supposedly has clinical study behind it showing it reduces dry skin, itching, erythema, and scales.

Here is a link to the clinical study:

They sell this stuff on skinstore and it looks like it has excellent reviews, but I have not tried it yet. I just wanna know if anyone has experience with this cream?

    Default Atopalm

Wanted to order this product but when I spoke to Atopalm they have temporarily suspended product because in the Uk one of the ingredients a herb is listed as a medicine. So they have had to change one ingredient and new product will not be available until maybe January. Typical beaurocracy of the UK. I understand that this product has been tried and tested in hospitals with great results. So if you want this cream and related products, you will have to get it from the USA. It is quite possible that this one ingredient is the most important one.

The most important question is if this topical is non acnegenic and also if it has anti inflammatory and sebum lowering qualities.

    Default it is

the ingredient that is considered as medicine is Portulaca Oleracea. I checked it in the web, which says that Portulaca Oleracea heals skin inflammation, rash. If you eat, you'll live long life. Atopalm is considered as baby cream in Korea in which the products were developed. I ordered a lotion form. I'll keep you posted after using it for a few days.

    Default ATOPALM

Looks like Atopalm will be coming back in the UK this month having taken out the herbs that were considered as medicines in this country.

Just thought I'd throw in a comment here - I've been using this for just over 2 weeks now and I am really liking it so far.

I can't say too much about what it does for redness (don't have too much unless I'm flushing) but it feels good when I'm putting it on, doesn't irritate (I'm probably about in the middle when it comes to reacting to skin products - sensitive to some but not all but any means).

Just before starting this I also started mixing in the licorice from skinactives in my rosasol which I use once a day, and I'm just at the point for me, since my last laser treatment where I seem to reach maximum benefit, but my skin has definitely been less reactive overall and feeling pretty good. It definitely moisturizes very well.

Hard to say exactly what is reponsible (probably a combination of all 3 things) but thought I'd let everyone know my experience (at least so far).

thepersonalformulator.com sells a multi-lamellar cream also which is much cheaper than atopalm. anybody tried it?

I am still testing the atopalm body lotion (it's cheaper than the cream and has the same ingredients) but am not terribly impressed by it's ability to calm down redness. I use retin-A and need something to calm down the side reactions. The atopalm burns a little when applied on overexfoliated skin (from adcid exfoliators or from retin). At this stage (have been testing for a few days) it looks very slightly comedogenic. Altough the lotion is light, it looks shiny when it dries out.

Update: I am returning ATOPALM lotion since its purported ability to 'calm down skin irritation' is comparable to a regular moisturizer and I am not paying extra bucks based on qualities that are not there. That was just another example of how following anecdotal reports of users leads to buying useless overpriced products.

I got the Multi-lamellar cream (oil free) from thepersonalformulator.com and as I expected it 'calms down redness' as much as the ATOPALM. The difference is of course the much lower price tag. To my surprise the personal formulator cream doesn't look shiny when it dries out which is a big plus compared to ATOPALM.
