    What do you use?

I occasionally use was/gel, which contains drying alcohols. Not sure if it affects my rosaca. I do experience some slight facial irritation from it, but it is after all not put on my skin, but in my hair. Do you react to these kind of products?

    I don't think I react.
The ones I use most frequently:

    Distortion
    Dis-order
Aveda Control Stick (This stinks but is otherwise fine.)
    ICE Spiker

I always wash these out ASAP and I don't let my hair flop all over my face with gel in it...that feels gross and will sometimes burn. Otherwise, I have had no problems at all.

10mg's of Singulair daily (bonus that it helps with my asthma! lol)

Shave w/ Aveeno Therapeutic Shave Gel, Sensor Excel razor. (Used to use Mach3, but tried Sensor and won't go back!)

    Hi,

I keep my hair pretty short and sometimes flip up the front with gel or wax. I try to be careful not to get any on my forehead b/c I tend to break out there. The less hair on my face, the better I am. I use Redken Water Wax and Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Sculpting Gel. A bit pricey, but they last me a long time b/c I tend to only use them twice weekly.

Personally I can't use anything on my hair. As soon as I apply something to my hair, my face plays up something rotten. I don't even understand how it happens but there you go. Rub something into my hair and..... I'd love to know how or why rosacea can flare up to something which is only put into your hair and not onto your skin, like the original poster.
Double negatives are a big no-no.

    Hi Jonesy,

I have to be careful about what kind of hand lotion I use. I don't use it on my face but it seems to make my face itch and break out by just being on my hands. I always thought that it was just my imagination or maybe I was touching my face without realizing. I don't know what is going on.

Maybe some chemical is being absorbed through the scalp or hands into your bloodstream which in turn causes your face to break out...

    Hi Mikey,

I have thought about that but just don't know. It just drives me crazy always wondering if it could be this or that causing my flare ups. Just when you think you have it licked it comes back.
