Default Important information about supplements and Laser

    Group,

Last week Natajalo asked a good question about taking pycnogenol, grape seed extract, alpha lipoic acid and ester C during laser treatments. A physician said it should be fine and encouraged it.

Please do NOT take these supplements during laser treatment. At normal doses pycnogenol decreases platelet aggregation by 4 times greater than aspirin, grapes seed decreases platelet aggregation by over 7 times greater than aspirin and alpha lipoic acid and ester c basically double this effect.

You do not want to decrease platelet aggregation during laser because it can result in bruising, sweelling and detrimental skin effects -- this is why even a baby aspirin is totally contradindicated with laser. You should stop this one week prior to treatment. With the above supplements you should stop at least one week before and probably err on the side of caution by stopping 10 days in advance.

This information is not intended to embarass anyone, it is just extremely important information that needs to be known.

    Regards,

    Geoffrey

Yes, death we want KMH. But, we would also love the physical incorporation of OPC oligomers into the basal wall of each vessel.

Thoughts on this. A properly treated small vessel takes approximately 2 days to die and one day to be absorbed by the body. A properly treated feed vessel takes about 5 days to die and 2 more days to be absorbed by the body. So, in theory, after 7 days you should be fine. I would wait another day just to make sure.

Now, if you are undergoing the concentrated protocol, I think that it might be wise to just focus on laser treatments and drop the supplements throughout the whole treatment because it gets too complicated. After the final treatment then start with the above paragraph.

Hope that helps and I sincerely iwish you a ghost white face. Best of luck.

Thanks for those clear answers Dr. Nase. I believe the only meds./ supplement that are safe to decrease inflammation etc. during IPL are antibiotics? Macrolides or Periostat favorably? And meds like moxonidine and clonidine are no problem either I believe you've said earlier.

And is there maybe anything else that people can take straight after IPL if their faces are bright red and inflamened and need to be calmed down?

    best wishes, Natalja
