Dapsone approved

I saw that Aczone (Dapsone 5% gel) is now officially approved by the FDA. Do u know whether we are still waiting for a Rosacea friendly version or can we use the existing version for Rosacea? Also, if the former, any idea on time frame? Thanks.

Hi,

It may be worth a try at 5%, but the base is made for acne patients and therefore may undue anything the dapsone does. The rosacea formulation uses a rosacea friendly base cram/lotion. Should not be too far benind because they can fast track it with their first one approved.

That was one of the places they tested it on with good to very good success.
