    Default Palomar Starlux

Following moderate success with the IPL Quantum machine, I am due to start treatment with the Palomar Starlux machine in the uk with a highly respected doc. Has anyone had experience of this machine and the results/side effects of treatment. My doc has advised me to induce a flush with nioxin prior but I feel that this only targets superficial vessels - certainly it did with the quantum 560 filter. Hopefully the starlux will target deeper feed vessels but I havent seen many results posted. Im also intending to take Clarithromycin if my GP will prescribe.
Any advice will be much appreciated

    Cheers

    Steve

I too have had both treatment with Dr Patterson and whilst the Quantum was great the Starlux for me was far less painfull ( though the other wasn't that bad) not even any down time and the results seemed good well worth a try as it goes deeper so should in theory help more.

Does anybody know how long Dr Patterson has had the Palomar Starlux machine? I had IPL treatments with him last year with the Quantum, and he never mentioned it.

I think it's about 8 weeks or so.He is so buisy now he is takeing on another DR who is being trained in both typs of laser this week and next so buisness is booming, but if Dr Patterson is training him he'll be good I'm sure.

Sounds promising that he's training another Doctor. We do seem to have a shortage of well trained laser practitioners in the UK.

Can anyone tell me if he's using the Palomar Starlux in conjunction with the Quantum? (eg: doing one pass with each) or does he treat you with one or the other.

    Cheers,
