Hi Winnie - I totally understand your frustrations with SD. I've tried all those treatments as well - with minimal success. Currently my regimen of 10mgs per day Accutane, daily Ovace facial wash in SD areas, and spot treatment with Elidel is keeping me almost 98% clear. Once every week or two I can see a tiny spot or to trying to crop up - and I immediately use Elidel on it and it'll go away by the next morning.
Winnie,
Do you have Seb Derm on your scalp? The first time I used Nizoral I felt that it wasn't working so I stopped. About a month ago I tried it again, and I realized it needed time to work. After about 3 weeks on it, it cleared it up about 80%.
These medicated shampoos need time .. they don't work very quicly, but when they do .. they do.

3 IPL and tried Accutane. Accutane stopped the oil flow but caused other problems. Now just using a mix of Sea Kelp and EGF every night.
I had used Olux Foam on the SD on my scalp for a long time. I quit using it about two months ago and my scalp has improved a lot! The next time I see a doc I'll have to ask for a prescription for Nizoral shampoo and see if that helps.

Winnie, I would strongly suggest going to here:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...titis-support/
and read about it and give it a thought.
I have sd + rosacea and this helped my skin very very much, even now that im not on the regimen.
Hi Ian,
Thanks a lot for your response!! I am glad you have found something working well for you. I used Elidel before, it somewhat helped but
could not clear it up. Now I am living in Canada, my derm refused to prescribe Accutane and he doesn't know about Ovace wash, what a
moron! I asked the pharmacists and they also know nothing about
it. I learned it from Dr. Nase's post long time ago.
Best wishes

I had used Nizoral shampoo for a long time and it helped about 30%.
I like its smell, anyway. Loprox shampoo helped about 60%, it's too
expensive (needs prescription) and it only worths if 100% clear-up.
I am taking Pau D'Arco and it seems helping my scalp; no result on
my face yet, too early to tell.

or other non-steroid anti-fungal shampoo.

Hi Jordan,
Thanks a lot for your suggestion!! I am glad it fits you well.
A friend gave me the vinegar treatment instructions and I tried it,
needed to put the acvwm on the hair and face for the whole day,
without rinse. I could not stand the smell. That time I went
out, my neighbour put her hand on the nose, "What stuff do you
wear on your body, such a strong unpleasant smell? What's wrong
with you?" The smell of acvwm is much stronger than regular vinegar.
I have to go out for work, I can't stay at home all day. I was forced
to quit after 2 days, the strong smell on the hair stayed there for at
least 4 days even I shampooed hard every day afterwards.
I definitely like to soak myself into acvwm if I don't need to go out
for work.
Best wishes
