sorry b, this doesnt answer your question and im sure this question has been asked a thousand times before but i couldnt find any info so could you tell me what supplements you are supposed to stop before ipl and how long before?
The only one I feel sure about is Grape Seed extract. Maybe Green Tea also. I think I've heard Dr Nase say flax and vit C are fine to continue, and he just said on another thread that Alpha Lipoic Acid was too.
You do not have to stop Oral Alpha Lipoic Acid for IPL.

why do you stop grape seed?
You stop grape seed because it heals veins. IPL destroys them (this is a good thing). To immediately take something to heal the veins that you are trying to destroy (by photocoagulation) would be counterproductive. You want to wait 14 days after an IPL tx for it to do its work before you start taking supplements that heal. It takes 14 days (I am pretty sure this is the number of days) for the veins that were zapped to be gone for good.

I'm not sure, but isn't it from day 7 to 21 after an IPL treatment that angiogenesis is likely to happen? Wouldn't you NOT want to take those things for 21 days? Anybody know?

Also, stop pycnogenol and vitamin E.
Okay, so if the above is correct and we should stay off certain "healing" suppements for a decent period after tx so as to ensure the veins we want to die do collapse, does that mean we should also not be using the all-red LED lamp post tx too, since my understanding is that this too has a "healing" effect on the skin??
I think this is where you need Peter. Is he still around?
