Itchy Face
My face is itchy. Does this mean I am on the verge of a flair? I have been on Doxycycline and Metronidazole cream for a couple of weeks but went off of my trigger diet because I could not keep my self control at my brothers wedding.
Does anyone experience itchiness?
YES.
This has been a major symptom for me, and usually precedes a flare.
Taking an antihistamine daily has helped some, as has applying Metrolotion as soon as the itching starts.
In general, though, what really helped reduce the itchiness over time were VBeam treatments. I've had 1 IPL treatment and 8 non-purpuric VBeam treatments in the past 3 years (and am going for VBeam #9 on 8/28/12) and started to notice improvement in my symptoms of itching and burning after maybe the 5th VBeam session.

For me, itching occurs even if my skin looks calm. I also have itching on areas of my face which are not affected by rosacea. In the past I was scared the rosacea was spreading, but it has been the same for 5 years now.
