    Default Rosacea pimples?

    Hi
I apologize for my bad English in advance; it is not my native tongue.
I am having “flashes” on the cheeks for the last 2 years. The “flashes” happen when I am in a hot room, or when I am outside and its very very hot ( above 35C ).
After visiting 2 dermatologists that didn’t offer much help I found a good derm’.
He asked me if I also have pimples on the cheeks( where the redness is ) and I said no.
The derm’ said that its 1 of a 3 options:
    1. A genetic issue
    2. An internal problem
    3. Acne rosacea
He said that if I had pimples it probably would be rosacea. So he ranked the rosacea as the last option of the 3. He prescribed me some topical treatment and I need to come back to him in 2 months.
The thing is that before visiting him I never saw any pimples and now I think I see some realy realy small “bumps” ( they realy realy small ) they so small that I can’t fill them with my finger ( the skin is smooth ) I see them only if I come very close to the mirror ( 5 cm close )
Is this rosacea pimples? Or is rosacea pimples is something that is plain to see ?
Sorry again for my bad English. In my country there is no rosacea forum and there is very little information about it here.

Hi there and welcome to the RF. No need to apologize for your english because it is just fine.

You can have rosacea without pimples (called papules or pustules if they are rosacea related btw) so I think you need to find a more knowledgeable dermatologist because it concerns me that he didn't know that. The burning you describe sounds like rosacea flushing.

There are treatments for the papules/pustules (what you might be calling pimples) and it consists of either a topical medication treatment (such as Metrogel, lotion or cream, or Finacea for example) and/or oral treatment such as low dose doxy or minocycline. As well as making lifestyle changes regarding diet/stress etc.

Please check out this link when you have some time as they contain useful information.
