    Hi allalone,

Here's a thread on building your own if you are technically inclined
    http://www.rosaceagroup.org/The_Rosa...d-light-device

The LLLT forum used to be a lot more active but the main advocates like Twickle Purple and IowaDave haven't posted in a few years
-still lots of good reading to go through if you are just getting into it.

Just don't expect any instantaneous fixes - it's a very slow process (months /years) from what I've gathered

Actually, I notice an immediate calming effect after I use my light. I will sometimes use it expressly for this reason if I'm going out or think I'll be dealing with people in the next several hours.

You should, however, use your light consistently and as myself and others have noted, there's a cumulative effect that goes on. The more you use it, the more you'll see the benefits. If we understand the general process of what's going on, you're normalizing your skin's inflammation response, which doesn't happen overnight for us. Otherwise, you could just plant an ice bag on your face. But I'd hardly recommend that to anyone.

Toleraine Soothing Light Facial Fluid for moisturizer. I don't use a special cleanser. Clonidine daily; klonopin sometimes.
BEST and CURRENT TREATMENT I use: Low-Level Red Light Therapy LED array.
Please feel free to PM me with your low-level red light therapy (LLRLT) questions. I'm happy to help if I can.

Default Use it once a week

I have been using it once a week when I know the next day I wont be under pressure. Like Iowa David said (whom I just sent a private message) directly after using the RLT my skin looks and feels great. I have noticed it goes in a cycle where the next day it is a bit sensitive, but, still good, as long as I am not under stress... and like he said above, it seems to be building my skin back up. Been using it now for over a year so it is not just experimenting. I have to stand very far away from the light, I bounce it off the mirror.

In my journal, I noted that it seems to have a 2-3 day cycle where by that third day the best effects have set in and have my face more firm and braced for life.

You know, I've started eating paleo for reasons not related to rosacea (though the rationale for others that go Paleo or follow Dr. Terry Wahls' writing/lectures would indicate it would be beneficial for rosacea, aside from just controlling insulin levels and the sugar/glucose effect on flushing). Plenty of vegetables there and I wouldn't go back given the better energy I've seen. It's a process. But I think your mom was on to something there, too. Next time you call her, tell her she was right all around. ;)

Yea I've been pretty much low carb for the last 15 years maybe - started out for losing weight (about 25 lbs)
but it also helps with heartburn/acid-reflux and probably saved me from becoming a diabetic.
