Thank you Lucy. I hope you find it equally as helpful! I believe it is available in the UK but it might be slightly different but hopefully just as good if not better.
If not please post here and we can all try and help you find other good options. Good luck!

    Melissa

i know its in a different tub, but does this look like the same product? theres a crazy number of eucerin products here but they all seem to have something extra like 'dry skin therapy' or 'with urea' compared to the original one. what dya think?

That looks like one of the tubes I have actually. Not sure if the ingredients are totally the same but that works for me as well.

    Default It's here

Well, my Dermablend is here. I've also gone to Babies R Us and raided the cleanser isle in hopes of finding something gentle that actually cleans. First up, Mustela Stelatopia Cream Cleanser for wee ones with eczema. Will update after I give things a try. Gulp. Pray for me!

well, the Dermablend Cover Creme was a no go for me within about, oh 6 hours. I think either the beeswax or the mineral oil got me. Probably the mineral oil as I suspect oils aggravate my Seb. Derm. The good news is, I had about 3 or 4 blissful days using the Dermablend Smooth Indulgence Foundation. It even has an SPF 20, so I felt like I could run errands and not be so paranoid about the sun and even went out without a hat a few times... that was liberating! Unfortunately, by about day 5 my nose started to break out like a teenager at the prom and then my cheeks got a little bumpy too. Darn it! It think it's because the makeup is so hard to remove. I had a really hard time getting it all off with any psuedo-gentle cleanser. Even the more foamy baby washes that have removed mineral makeup in the past did not get it all off, so I think that caused irritation. I suppose I can still use it like once or twice a week to go out because it did cover a flush pretty well and outside of the blemishes, I really did not have all that much redness while wearing it. That was a nice confidence boost. So, it might work for someone else out there looking for a heavier makeup. It really does cover amazingly well... maybe a little too well as it might have smothered my skin a little! Back to the drawing board. I'll figure this out...

I used to use this stuff as a teen, but now can't get the hang of applying it correctly. Maybe because my skin isn't as "smooth"? Does anyone have any tricks? I know you're supposed to warm it up a bit on your hand, then....what? Dab, sponge on, brush on. And do you use the matching setting powder or any old powder will do? It's quite expensive.

p.s. I bought the original Dermablend, that you scoop out with a little spatula.

    Hi Morgana,
I use my fingers and I use the minimum amount I need and cover any affected areas. I make sure my skin is well moisturized before I apply as it goes on more smoothly that way. And I finish with translucent powder- a tiny pat to set the cover creme.
    HTH!

    Melissa

melissa w . you've said you only use dermablend on only the problem areas , is it that easy to blend into your natural color ?
