    Default Solutions for cleansing eyes

    Hi,

Im beginning a lid care regime and I am considering whether to buy commercial lid care products or try some of the more economical home remedies. Has anyone tried cleaning eye lids using water and bicarbonate of (or bread) soda? I might try it myself but I was just wondering has anyone had any success with it.

    Hey,

For me, using just plain water has turned out to be the best way.

I do a hot lid compress 2x per day, and then at night I scrub the lash line with a cotton ball saturated in warm/hot water.

This may work for you if you find that other cleansers are too harsh.

I second oopsie. I use plain water as well with a Qtip. I usually scrunch up the end of the Qtip a little to soften it for my eyes and then VERY gently go over my lids and lashes. Good luck!
