I haven't had a chance to read through everything on here so sorry if there's a thread about this elsewhere!
I've always had red cheeks that get redder when hot or drinking alcohol but a few years a go I got bitten by a midge on my face and the red patch it left (after the lump went away) has never gone away! I now have a small red patch on my eyebrow and on the other side of my face. My GP never thought it was roseaca as the redness isn't even across my face, I never get spots and it isn't dry. I do have sensitive skin however. He tried an acid cream (I think that's what it's called!) and a course if antibiotics but nothing changed. I was then referred to a dermatologist who just looked at me and said "yes it's roseaca" without asking questions or even touching my skin!
Am I just being silly or does it sound like something other than rosacea? I've now asked for another dermatologist to look at me and this time I won't be blinded by the fact they're a doctor and ask more questions!
Thanks in advance!
