Hello,

I've been diagnosed with rosacea (type 2).

I had a few bumps a couple of months ago, and listened to a salesperson at the Clinique counter about trying an exfoliating cream. Umm, big mistake. Still, I thought it was a sensitive skin reaction, and kept trying changing cleansers and moisturizers. Long story short, I now have an expensive scrub for my elbows and lots of tubes waiting to be used to shave my legs.

I've been prescribed cortisone (for 5 days) - I know there's some controversy about the steroid, but I'm listening to the doc, and will see how it goes; and metrogel. I used it this morning and noticed that I was super shiny and my skin felt tacky for at least an hour. I didn't even try putting makeup on over it. When I go to work Monday, though, that won't be an option.

So, my question is, does anyone have any advice, knowledge, tricks, etc. about a good way to wear makeup over the ointments? I backed off of almost everything during my experimentation period, and now I only wear mineral powder (Physician's Formula) and eye makeup.

Thanks so much.
