Why is the forum dead?

On my other forums the post count drops in the spring & summer and pick up during fall & winter. Also with more people going to mobile devices forums are harder to browse unless you get a forum app. I know with myself since I am no longer on my laptop as much forums that are Tapatalk enabled get most of my attention. The ones that aren't I visit on my laptop for specific info but rarely post.

I think you are right and may be a big factor in why the forum has died down.

Here's a chart of the monthly Unique Visitors to The Rosacea Forum

Shows the number of unique visitors has steadily increased but generally peaking around Apr each year

From Jan 2008 (6,939) to Jun 2012 (110,868)

PS: The 110,868 Unique Visitors last month sounds crazy given our current 373 Active Members
(Active Members are people who have posted within the last 30 days)
but also shows just how many spambots there are active on the internet

We do our best to fight them off and keep the spam to a minimum.
