How does the dermatologist diagnose this condition? Can he take a skin scraping and check for fungal spores and if there are none, then you don't have seb derm? Or do you need a skin biopsy for this diagnosis?
My dermatologist diagnosed it after a biopsy. It left a little scar that I'm pretty upset about considering it's noticeable. It looks like a small hole that closes up after a piercing. Is that normal? Anywho he told me to take an anti-fungal that was over the counter, it was really strong and made my skin red so I stopped using it. I'm trying the raw honey and coconut oil treatment now, but before that I used apple cider vinegar for two days, which did work quite a bit.
