    Default Calcipotriol/Calcipotriene...

I was reading about the Photoprotective effect of Calcipotriol/Calcipotriene upon skin photoreaction to UVA and UVB, etc. It looks like from my readings that calcipotriol works very well.

Calcipotriol (INN) or calcipotriene (USAN) is a synthetic derivative of calcitriol or vitamin D. It is used in the treatment of psoriasis, marketed under the trade name "Dovonex" in the United States, "Daivonex" outside of North America, and "Psorcutan" in Germany.

Has anyone used this before? I am going to ask my derm about it since UV rays are my biggest trigger!

Don't bother. I use both for my psoriasis but they are contra indicated for use on face and other sensitive areas. It can cause allergic dermatitis if used on the face.
Also, it is contra indicated while using UVB or sunlight as a treatment for Psoriasis.
