Sulfur soap is definitely drying. After a few good days, I have a few new p&ps today, but my diet has been awful, so... Using sulfur soap morning and night. Using borax and HP spray and tea tree oil morning and night. Also, scrubbing eyes 1 - 2 times a day w/ TTO shampoo. This seems to have made my left eye lid red and puffy, and I have a few p&ps on the edge of the lid Strange enough, my cat is sitting beside me with one of her eyes half closed and it is running. Connection?

I feel your pain. Hopefully you have been clearing up in the last few months.

I am on metrogel, to no effect... I tried the HP/Borax/TTO treatment (by member Ghost) and it gave me a purple bump/boil on my forehead which I have to wait another 4 days to see my doctor about.

I truly feel that all of this is hopeless, and I want to die.

red, instead of shampoo on your eyelids, get a scrub made for this. Theratears foam is what I recommend. It even has tto in it. And, yes, cats do take on your illnesses. Treat kitty well.

second, the cause of that purple bump likely was in your skin for a long time. Killing mites really can be compared to a war. When you start to kill the surface ones the eggs inside your skin are signaled (perhaps by enzymes -- chemical messengers!) so the fresh mites are mobilized. They start rising. When they rise, you get bumps and reds.

I had a wicked vbeam one time and my skin was glorious. A week later I got a huge bump on my cheek. I could feel it rising up and biting through, in broad daylight! But this was my lesson -- that's when I realized that this is what happens. Nature has made these mites pretty indestructible. That's why the war is constant. Not that each mite is indestructible, but as a whole they are. Your skin just has to keep getting treated so the emerged mites die and don't have a chance to make more eggs. You can't kill the eggs off. Not with anything you can apply to your skin.
