Anyone have any thoughts on acetone and demodex? Can acetone kill mites?

I have witnessed for myself at least that benzoyl peroxide causes them to spread more, proliferate and increase redness. I used a product with acetone recently and am unsure whether to continue. I am on the fence as to whether it helped or not.

I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts, opinions, or knowledge on the matter.
