Default Stubborn Waxy Crusts on sensitive eyelids ..please help!

Hi to everyone here..seems like such a great community so i thought id join

My problem is Blepharitis/MGD which i have struggled with for a year now and in the last few months things have really gotten worse, i started off with just slight burning and gritty eyes and now its turned evil.

I have stubborn hard yellow waxy scaly crusts on both my lower eyelid margins which arent moving with just lid scrubs and when i do shrink them a bit they just keep growing back, i definetly think i have seborrheic blepharitis as i get flakes in my eyebrows and ears since i was a teen. Problem is those crusts are harbouring bacteria and i cant do much heat compresses or friction to the eyelids or my lids get very red and veiny and look terrible.

Im very sensitive to most things near my eyes! I used ocusoft lid scrub and it does help in dissolving the waxy sebum but it then makes my lids go red and im left with red lines below the crusts after i use a cotton swab to try to dislodge the damn crusts.

I have the following things in my arsenal to try but am worried it will make things worse and increase inflammation to my lids:

    Ocusoft Plus anti bacterial scrub
Sterilid lid scrub (tea tree oil)
    Olive oil
    Jojoba oil
    Bicarbonate of soda

I just cant understand why the oily bumps keep appearing on my lower lids, it seems like im producing to much sebum

    Please help as im frustrated

Try Doxycycline hyclate 100mg 2x daily for a minimum of 1 month. It's pretty much the "gold standard" for treating ocular rosacea, and in addition to being antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, Doxycycline has shown promise in some studies in terms of regulating function of the meibomian glands.

Also, a lot of people on here probably will not respond to you because, unless they suffer from ocular rosacea, they're not going to have any idea what you are talking about. I remember you from Dry Eye Zone. That seems like a better source for most eye-related issues.
