Hi everyone.

I found this forum in passing and fleetingly read a few posts quite a while back but only just decided to join and post after recently reading threads on a topic that goes back all the way to 2008.

I've experienced flushing/dry/irritable skin on my cheeks since my 20s, it's not as serious as some examples I've seen or heard of, but it's always annoyingly there in some severity or another.

I have a good diet, not as 'priest like' as what it was 2 years ago, but it is still full of fresh veggies and such. I mention this because a couple of years back I was seriously into my exercise and dropped 4 stone, I think the steamed veggies/low GI carb thing helped as the redness/broken skin went away. My complexion improved so much between 2010-2012 and this was after years of being prescribed tablets, gels, creams and even falling sucker to some product by a company I found online called 'ZenMed'. Useless!

Just recently the more severe redness and irritation has returned, usually brought on by being tired and I admit, I'm not as much of a keep fit fanatic as I was although I still eat well (but we all like a curry and a beer eh?!) and do a decent amount of running.

After reading posts on here, I'm going to give the L-Lysine a try and let you know how it goes. I've also ordered a moisturiser that I noticed was reccomended by users on this forum and on other forums. I wont mention the name before I take delivery of it because I don't want to be accused of being biased or touting a product.

Anyway, good luck to you all!
