Default Posting Photos. Strange Large Open Pores and Lines.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? I have pink skin on my front cheeks and on the sides of my face. I have bumps all over my face. I have been told I have demodex mites found through a skin scraping.

But these large pores and these lines I keep getting in these porous, very oily areas, is terrifying. What can I do about this? How can oily skin be causing lines???

You can see the lines and porous skin here.

In this photo, you can see the chin has some strange texture like indentation almost. But I don't think it formed from acne that was there....indented skin like this also formed on the other side of my chin too.

This one shows my indented scar that I've had all my life, but above it, you can see a long line that formed on my face like a fissure almost. There are many other lines formed much like this one.

And this is my forehead http://s1111.photobucket.com/albums/...Dphoto6new.jpg
You can see the porous areas there too. And bumpy skin.

    Also, http://s1111.photobucket.com/albums/...t%3Dphoto5.jpg
of my cheek a few months ago. These lines rapidly form. Sometimes I wonder if it's from moving my face too much. I just have no idea what is doing it anymore.

Can anyone give me some ideas?

I used some moisturizer by Neutorogena- the one for eczema clinically prove to help in 3 days. And my pores have gotten even bigger and I think these lines are forming more...

Thanks for the reply at least!! Well, silly question, but have you seen photos of people with rosacea that looks like my skin?

I don't think I have seen photos of people with rosacea having strange lines and extremely porous skin...at least I haven't found any on the net as of yet. So, I'm wondering if you have seen some even on this forum?

The diagnosis of Rosacea is a bit of a dumping ground for doctors ...... your skin is redish, you've got bumps .... ah.... you've got rosacea. My skin looks a bit like yours and I do have enlarged pores next to my nose. Have you tried Differin and/or Plexion (sulfacetamide/sulfur) lotion? I use differin a few times a week and find it helps with the enlarged pores and also helps to keep the pores clean. I use S&S lotion daily and find that helps with the redness and small bumps. Unfortunately is hard to tell exactly what is the cause of your skin issues, could be Seb Derm, Rosacea, Dermatitis or a combo of the three. For most of us it's a long road and lots of trial and error before finding a routine that helps. Hang in there and keep on trying, eventually you will find improvement.

    Just my opinion of course.

I am saying that what the problem superficially is that you have a situation where you have unsecreted sebum.
In simple terms the sebum has almost or actually formed in your glands but its certainly not being excreted
and it is building up underneath the skin from the preasure and not your normal skin that is deepening thats a misnomer.

Whats the cause? I am not an expert but I am saying the cause is biological and what is missing is the trigger to tell your glands to excrete when that crucial moment comes. You can visit all the derms in the world and still not get a solution.

Where to start looking is to work up a sweat and analyse your body for any sensation you experience like prickling.

The other thing is do you have this skin condition anywhere else and what is your digestion like and do you eat any hydrogenated fats.

Did you have a time when you never had these or moved house, changed your life in any way?

    Drummond,

Just curious, what are you thinking about in terms of "moved house"? The reason I ask is my rosacea got much worse after I moved to a new house.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Have a read at this first:- http://www.examiner.com/article/pest...-panic-attacks.

The bit about your digestion and being happy and contented has a lot to contribute to our overall health.

Before I moved I was always happy and contented but after leaving my familiar surroundings I experienced being discontented in relation to how I was before. The people were in the majority much younger and it seemed they had no time or did not want to pass the time of day. I am sure to be fair that it was not personal it was just a different generation of people but my contentment level dropped which I feel had an overhall negative impact on my nervous system.

I do find it difficult to cope with folks who would rather look the other way rather than say good morning!
