Tell us what you eat daily and perhaps there will be a glaring pitfall?

Is your redness constant or is it mostly exercise/emotional/heat related? How old are you?

It's normal to get red doing exercise and as people get old there skin can naturally get redder.

If your in your 20s with these issues, it's more of a cause for concern.

Normally a Low Carb Paleo approach should remove hidden inflammation from the diet and help. If not, I don't really have much added advice. No topical and i've tried tons has ever done anything magical for my skin.

I am 19 years old...my redness is constant. In a given day this is generally what I eat: almonds, salmon or tuna, white onion, lettuce, basil leaves, oregano, occasionally black olives (I've heard they are anti-inflammatory), green vegetables. Honestly, this is about ALL i eat...occasional white meat turkey

    -Almonds

Do you eat anything else apart from these products?
Black olives, white meat turkey, basil, and oregano are the only things I eat that are apart from that

Turkey caused awful redness and out breaks for me. Not sure about olives tho, cause I do not eat those. I use olive oil tho. just make sure the olives ain't in some sort of marinade which contains sugar. How long have you been on the diet?
My advice is to save up some money for IgG tests and check the products you are currently eating. Also stick to the diet, because everything else is just short term. If you get really desperate, you can still try to eat only salmon and peas for a month and help your skin to cure. then add per one food slowly. but be warned, it is unhealthy. I lost 15 pounds during 2-3 months of that diet. then I added lamb meat, and now I am back to my normal weight. With those two creams I mentioned and the diet, it took me around 3 months to get rid of all the pimples and itch. I lost skin like a snake. The next 5 months or so I still had red pigmentation, but the itch and pimples were gone. Now it has been 9 months and I look handsome, yet I still have scars as a reminder on my cheeks. Waiting for the summer sun, to see if it affects me. heat(sauna)/exercise did not.

p.s. also be careful with almonds and other nuts. some people are allergic to those.

You should do the IgG tests asap then. Maybe it even is not the food. Are you sure you have rosacea and not some other skin disorder? If you pulled that diet off for 3 months your skin should be way better. My dermatologist have been so many times wrong with their diagnoses.

Wow...I guess I've never really thought about the possibility of something else. It's just that the location (cheeks, nose, and chin) are the exact locations for rosacea. Hmmm...

I had mine on cheeks and forehead, and around the ears and neck. I guess it is all very random. I am not even sure if it is Rosacea I have myself, but I do know I have a faulty gastric system, which caused a hyper allergy to many foods. It is destiny. I was disgusted with myself for 10 years, and only last year it happened that I found what I really had and how to fix it. It happened in ridiculous ways. Do the IgG blood test for the foods you have in your diet. You will see from there. Just hang in there pal. One day you will have flawless skin again.

For myself I get super-red if I eat too many salicylates. It seems as if your diet is very high in salicylates. Almonds, black olives, many vegetables and almost all spices have large amounts of salicylate in them.

Try following the RPAH diet for two weeks and see how that helps.
Current skincare regime for rosacea subtypes I, II and IV started March, 2012:

*Strict diet. No dairy, wheat, sugar, nuts/seeds, legumes. Only meat, 'safe starches', and low-phenol starchy/unstarchy fruits and veggies and water with ghee, lard and duck fat as cooking aids and sources of fat. Also avoiding food intolerances.
Supplementing with raw food multivitamin, liquid zinc sulfate with copper, epsom salt baths (magnesium sulfate), calcium and vitamin C. Lots of water!
