    Default What's this, Rosacea?

    IMAG0683.jpgIMAG0684.jpgHi,

so I think I may have rosacea.

    Symptoms:
Red nose, cheeks and tissue bridging nose and cheeks.
Bright red when I go outside in the cold, wind or sun.
Small veins on the top of my nose (closer to the sky).

    Other info:
I have spots. Not so bad anymore. I do have spots on my cheeks that are inflamed raised bumps that never go away (as in they've been they're for years). The doctor said I have acne (when I had more spots) and I've been on tetracycline (antibiotics) for 14 months.

    pics:
the "inflamed raised bumps" I talk of aren't visible in the photo, but are in natural light. The contrast in redness is greater in natural/bright light. If i shine a LED or look at the red skin in natural light, it looks opaqueish in comparison to normal skin.

I have read around, and I've seen some good advice on these forums so I thought i'd ask.
Im planning on seeing the doctor when I go back to uni next term, asking If I have Rosacea?
I've read about demodex mice, otherstuff. I wear highfactor suncream but my cheeks and nose seem to go red VERY EASILY (sun or no sun). And all sorts of stuff, I am worried that if it is rosacea that it gets worse - i'd like it to go away :p. So I thought i'd ask here, because if you've read this far then you've probably read more about me then a doctor would do.

    Thanks for reading.

Got a doctors appointment, gona ask if I can see a derm. I really want to get this sorted out, I've lost all my confidence. I don't notice it so much in winter because the lighting is dull, but in summer under natural light I can see how bad it is.

Does anyone have any advice as to what it is?

ok, so a doc diagnosed you with acne. And the symptoms you describe are the ones that mean acne and rosacea or "acne rosacea".

I'm not a doc, but I have cleared my face.

    It sounds like demodex-caused rosacea.
