Does anyone take more than 100 million probiotics per day?

    You meant 100 billions.
I take 120 billions (L. acidophilus and bifidobacteria) + saccharomyces boulardii in capsules + kefir and yogurt every day with FOS+inulin.
Things are getting better regarding my digestion issues since I started digestive enzymes and oil of oregano (3 drops two times a day with meals).

My irritable bowel issues which were diarrhea/frequent loose stools have subsided quite substantially with the elimination of ALL dairy and grains. I say all because for me being gluten free or consuming yogurt or low lactose dairy didn't work for my ibs.

The idea behind probiotics is great but for myself even after using high doses i've never seen any noticeable benefits. The theory behind taking a pill to replenish the healthy flora in your gut sounds so wonderful but for myself is just another waste of time. Perhaps it's the fact probiotics come in either dairy containing pills or fermented foods which for myself haven't been the greatest.

My skin issues are seb derm on the face, scalp, pityrosporum follicitus on body and poor blood circulation with some rosacea/eye issues.

I have seen benefits from an extreme candida free diet. (meat and non-starchy veggies, no sugar, no salt, no carbs really). I just couldn't maintain that eating style although i'm leaning towards going that route again. I also became convinced I had celiac's so i switched to that route and lost all the benefits i gained.

I've been on very low carb for a while now, but have been consuming salt, so i'm going to eliminate salt (condiments) to see if I notice any difference. I'm also going to add in some starchy veggies with soluble fiber (sweet potato, yams, parsnips) and remove the insoluble veggies. I feel like going low carb or very low carb has been great but I feel like when i consume too much fat in one sitting I have mild digestive issues. I also feel like i've reached the maximum benefit I can without changing it up a bit more or being more strict.

I'm taking fish oil daily about 2g a day, calcium/magnesium, vitamin d and i just added digestive enzymes and psyllium fiber yesterday.

This is an outline of what I plan on eating daily, I just need to eat up my last remaining bacon from my fridge.

    Eggs cooked in coconut oil
    Greens
    Carrots

    Chicken
    Avocado
    Carrots

    Chicken
    Corn/Parsnips with ghee
    Zucchini/Greens

    Beef/Fish
    Yam/Sweet Potato with ghee
    Green Beans

    Snack
    Sardines/Canned Fish

The idea is that this diet will be unharmful to my gut and hopefully be even more beneficial than the very low carb approach I was doing previously. I dropped nuts and seeds when I heard Robb Wolf say he eliminates them from people with skin issues and have heard Cordain talk about them being potentially harmful as well but not really being sure because the research just isn't there.

There is a podcast on that page about acne and skin issues, that's where I got my recent inspiration to try the soluble fiber veggies deal and eliminate most high fodmaps/histamine foods.

Who knows, maybe it'll help maybe it won't, i'm just gonna keep going until I feel the best I can.
