    Default Yep

20 is not too young. I was always sitting out it in the sun trying to cure my acne.

I think maybe the TEXTBOOKS and Doctors didn't see rosacea as much back in the day because of possible factors such as food and weather conditions. Just a theory.

I would say shield your face from the sun, stay relaxed, and sweat in places where you are in control of the environment. Like a hot tub, raising up if you ever feel your face getting too hot. IT works great for me.

ALso, coconut oil, just a small amount, rubbed on the red areas, does great. small... small amount.

THings I wished I would have known at 20. And I wouldn't have done anything like Metrogel, antibiotics, or Differin.

I got rosacea at age 19, have had it ever since (now 32).
Some dermatologists I saw said the same (ignorant) thing; that I was too young for it. But others confirmed
it was rosacea and the more I read about it, the more it became clear that rosacea can start at any age.
It is most common perhaps in your early 30's, but some teenagers have already rosacea and I know quite a few
people who got rosacea in their late teens, like me. Some dermatologists are just not specialised enough
in rosacea to know any better, just bring medical reports you found on the net with you next time
That's what I did and it helped me a lot over the years to get the medication and treatment I wanted and needed.

    Best wishes Natalja

Uses: 15 mg mirtazapine, clonidine and propranolol, Xyzal at times.
    Diet: it's complicated

I have had rosacea from late teens, so i suppose it decides to appear when it wants :-) Sooner in some people than others.

I've had rosacea from early to mid 20s. I also worshipped the sun when I was younger in an attempt to get rid of acne

I work with children and I can tell you that rosacea can appear at a very young age. Within the last 3 months or so I saw very young children with vascular rosacea. THe youngest, 2 twin brothers were about 6. The mother obviously had rosacea and both kids had their upper cheeks pretty flushed when they arrived (for a cave painting workshop) and even more so when they left. I also had 2 young girls who were respectively 10 and 12. The first one had cheeks that were so deep red that even my collegue was shocked. The other one had her all face crimson red (it was on a hot day) when she arrived with her class after a picnic outside. When she left, her face was normal again. In these cases, when I say "red", it is not just having some good colours, it is really being beet red, being abnormally red. I also had a teenage boy with really, really dark red cheeks. And there are many other examples.

Hey Rudolf, I know what you mean about having rosacea at 20. I'm 22 and am still trying to track down the genesis of my whole ordeal.

I know for sure that cutting out all the "carbage", that is sugars, breads, pretty much any neolithic food should help.
