Even more redness has faded overnight.
Congratulations on your success Gabranth.
Unfortunately for me, I've never found a product (ZZ included) that brings me steady & continuous improvement. Any success I have always seems to be sporadic, short periods of respite followed by inevitable relapse
Can I ask, with regards to ZZ, have you found the 'fumes' (for want of a better phrase) irritating to your eyes when you apply the product to your face? This used to be quite a problem for me when I was using ZZ ointment.
i have read abit about this and it has had successful results for some people, personally I would be a bit apprenhensive to try this. Are there any downsides to giving this a go?

A downside to me (and my dermatologist) was the 'mystery' surrounding the product - the 'secret ingredients', and the fact that it is an unregulated product.
On a more practical note, as I said in a previous post I had some issues with eye irritation when applying the product to my face, but I'd class this as fairly minor.
I personally found the product somewhat helpful, just not 'the answer' I'm searching for.
Still doing well.
In vain, I tried going out in the sun (45 minutes), but only to end up with a slight increase in redness as well as sensitivity. Think I ought to postpone until further...
I used zin oxide based sunscreen (50), mind you.
Summer's just around the corner, not the ideal season for me, as of right now. But, I guess I'll just have to take certain precautions before mindlessly venturing into activities such as of course sun-exposure.
I am ascertain of the following fact: the demodex mites are mostly active during nighttime (darkness), when the males surface in order to find females of which to breed with, and thereon multiply to a greater number. But, at the same time the sun strangely enough has it's heavier toll on my overall texture and color.
I just found out that the company behind the "ZZ Ointment", executes tests on animals or did in the past, which I quite frankly could not bare partake in, a sick and twisted demeanor (unpardonable), to say the least.
I feel reluctant to purchase any more products of off their website, until further notice.
I'm not sure whether they carry out tests as of today, but I am in need of some solid proof, before doing anything rash.
This lamentable discovery has left me compromised, not knowing what to do. I will of course finish the 2 jars of which I have already bought, but beyond that I do not know.
I feel sick to my stomach… so much unnecessary cruelty.
The intention in mind, is not to give them a bad reputation (products I have tried worked excellent), but animals testing in my eyes is an unforgivable act.
In this day and age you'd think we'd cast off such behavior, especially when it comes to trifling matters like cosmetics.
If I (further down the line) were to switch from this product (when my last two remaining jars have run out) to another one, would it have the same effect, or could my skin perhaps go back to what it once was in the past (this I fear)?
What is your take on this… I am in dire need of an opinion.
Some may take lightly on this matter, but I, fear I do not.
Thanks in advance.
I meant to write "bear", not bare, heh.
Even more improvement has occurred overnight (almost all the redness on my temples have faded). Acne periodically comes and comes, while blackheads slowly depletes in numbers by each passing day.
I just ran out of my last "Liquid Acaric Removing Face Wash", but I still have 1x of the "Acaric Removing Soap" to put to use. Won't be too much of a difference, I think. Will definitely last longer though.
The blackheads on my nose has minimally decreased since yesterday, and my skin is step by step becoming more tolerant towards the "ZZ Ointment" (when applying it to my skin, it doesn't get as irritated as it once used to).
"This movie, made by an extraordinary woman named Toni, who lives in Las Vegas, shows an active demodex mite taken fresh from her face being killed in 50 seconds by a miniscule amount of dry mustard powder mixed with a tiny amount of water."
