    Default Update

Instead of Emu Oil, I decided to give "High-Octane Vitamin C" (Daily Treatment Serum) a go.

It's description: "This powerful anti-oxidant helps to protect against environmental stress, suppresses hyperpigmentation and stimulates collagen and elastin formations. Provides a soft, powdery finish that will instantly smooth and even out skin tone. Ideal for mature skin as well as most skin types."

DIRECTIONS: Apply directly to skin, or mix with other topicals, once in the A.M. after cleansing.

INGREDIENTS: Cyclomethicone, Isododecene, L-Ascorbic Acid, Dimethicone Copolymer, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone Crosspolymer 3, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclotetrasiloxane, Octyl Cocoate, Phenyltrimethicone, Lecithin, Glycolipids, Phenonip.

It did sting a little on first application, but nothing major. Very easy to apply, as it is in liquid-form.

    Default Update, AGAIN.

You know what... there really is no point for me to start meddling with other creams/ointments, other than the ZZ Ointment. I've resolved not to chance on the affairs of other products, before this treatment reaches its end. So, I will lay the "Emu Oil" and "High-Octane Vitamin C" to rest, for now.

And, I will go back to applying twice a day.

    Default Day 140

Out of all, what baffles me the most, is the continuously stupendous betterment in texture.
It just keeps improving, day by day. Maybe around November/December-month, it will be so good that I will need no more. So I hope, at least.

It shouldn't baffle you. As you're decimating the demodex there are fewer of them to chew on your skin. You're healing.

    Stay healthy.

You may be able to stop using the ZZ cream for a while but your rosacea will return. It isn't a cure, just a way to control it. But the same can be said for accutane, metronidazole, antibiotics (low does or not), sulfa drugs, etc. There are very few reports of total remission of rosacea with no incidents of recurrence after five years. Anyone would be hard pressed to produce a list of rosacea sufferers who have not had their rosacea return after five years. I am sure there are some, but finding a list is difficult to produce. I started one here.

I only read a few of the comments attached to those name, but as I see it these folks were successful in greatly reducing or even extinguishing their rosacea -- but they continue to do something to keep it at bay.

I am no longer red, I do not blush. I get an occasional pimple (generally at a time I've already caught a cold + immunity is low), but that is it. I continue to treat my skin with things that drove away the rosacea -- I wouldn't want it to come crawling back; I continue to eat intelligently.
