I am interested in trying this treatment, currently in the process of trying 3x Pulse Dye Laser treatments and will wait to see how that goes first.

I have been staying at my folks house for a few days, and they have 2 dogs. I grew up with dogs as pets but don't have any myself. However my face is noticeably itchier and wondered if this could be related to demodex somehow?

maroon5 - I think would recommend it for those struggling with Demodex Mites. It works for me, might not work for someone else... hard to say. But, I still have 50 days left of treating or so...

maroon5 - Funny you should mention that, about the dogs. For I have a cat myself, and noticed that whenever come in contact with him, pet him, groom him, play with him, let him sleep in my bed (used to be a daily thing) etc, it always seemed to make my skin worsen in some odd way. For the last 2 months I've barely done any of the above, just to see the effect it would have on my skin, and it has certainly helped.

"The mites are transferred between hosts through contact of hair, eyebrows and of the sebaceous glands on the nose. Different species of animals host different species of Demodex; only one zoonosis of Demodex is known."

Demodex Canis (lives predominantly on the domestic dogs), but can occasionally infest humans.

    Default Day 98

Compared to recent days, my skin felt more active as of today, but other than that nothing unusual.

    Default Day 99

Almost all redness on temples has faded, though the last few spots are stubborn they too are gradually starting to fade. The crawling feeling has almost completely left, except for some days when it slightly returns, but that usually requires me to overheat and the like (triggers).

Maybe I didn't have Rosacea after all, just a SERIOUS case of Demodex. Not sure whether that's good or bad, but dwelling on it now won't do me any good...

Demodectic Rosacea is a rosacea variant.

Brady Barrows - Oh, okay. Thanks for clarifying that for me. I write without thinking sometimes, heh.

    Default Day 100

A hundred days have already passed... feels like much less.

Here's a concise summarization of my progress, so far:

    - Texture on cheeks and nose has gone from (on a scale from 0-10, 0 being the worst) "2" all the way up to a strong "7", which is stupendous (I never actually thought an ointment could work such miracles, hence I always sought of top of the line laser treatments, which I first now realize was a waste of my time).

    - Acne on forehead is nearly gone, only a few small marks left, plus one of bigger size.

    - Overall the redness (cheeks, temples, chin, and nose) is mostly gone, but is still working its way up.

    - Blackheads a wee bit better, but won't seems to budge that much.

50 days left (if I decide to cease treating at the 1st of August, I might however keep going).

    Congrats!

I wonder why this ointment isn't available otc or by a derm in USA.

Mister88 - It would knock out most of the competition, hence many other brands would decrease in profit.
To be honest, I'm not really sure, above is merely my hopethesis.

Could also have something to do with it's effectivity, reliability or "secret ingredients".
