Still no major setbacks, I do however on occasion wake up with a mildly red face, but fades away mostly when I take a shower. To be honest, I think it will take a full 90 days for me to see the final outcome...

I think you are correct about this. However, this doesn't cure rosacea by any means. It is simply a way to control it. But I prefer this method over antibiotics and metronidazole. It works. And I appreciate your sticking to your updates on this thread and at R-S-C. It is rare to find anyone willing to do this. When someone finds a way to control their rosacea they post and disappear. Very rarely do they show up again. Thanks for sticking with this and reporting your experience.

That's the very least I could do, as the favor is returned by the willingness of which many people on this forum possess, bringing solicitous efforts and expedient reaching hands of information and well-constructed guidelines.
I don't expect a cure really, but so far it has surpassed my expectations in correcting the unevenness of my skin-texture. Something more is needed I am sure of, but I couldn't have gotten off to a better start, that is ascertain.
I will keep this going for the next 30-40 days to come, and after that post an update twice a month of my progress throughout 2012.
Thanks for sticking with me.
One thing I've forgotten to mention is: Lately I've been breaking out in papules/pustules and my skin feels VERY tight.

This is an interesting phenomena isn't it? I must confess, I've done it myself several times - my rosacea 'settles' for X number of days/weeks, and I disappear from the boards! If I truly had a method of properly controlling rosacea, I like to think I'd help others by passing it on......but would I?! Because when it's 'gone' (or seemingly gone), it's the last thing I want to think about!
Hope that ramble makes some sense!![]()
For today, the texture of my skin looked incredible...
What tea tree oil mix do you use, i've been soaking a cotton wool bud in water and applying some drops to the wet bud and using it on the cheeks.
Aussie9 - I strictly and solely use the "ZZ Ointment", look it up.
I've decided to add an amount of 10 days, hence the first 35 days (roughly) I applied only before I went to bed, when I should have done it twice a day. So, 100 days in total, 41 days left.
Know also that I've started applying the ointment at my neckline too.
The cream does make my skin red, hot and irritated for the least amount of 2-4 hours to come (when applying in the morning, around 9'o clock), but after that it sorta halfway fades away, and my skin calm down, and during these 40 days to go, I will just have to accept that: after application my skin will remain very active and red. It is a struggle, no doubt about it… but a struggle worth putting up a good fight for. It's almost like it is erasing the redness and bringing a new one to the surface, a pale one and not red.
My skin texture used to be so bad that (still is, but nothing like before) going for my monthly visits at the doctor's office (for a general check) was horrendously unbearable, with the super-bright fluorescent lighting and the unbearable temperature, it was like an owen. Therefore I bring my mist-spray WHEREVER I GO… people do give me weird looks, but I simply stare back at them with a heinous glimpse in my eye, and they usually bug off. People who stare… what could possibly be worse than that!?
Don't you just hate when people with perfect complexion starts whining about their itsy-bitsy breakouts. Enough rant, heh… But still, I'm sure you catch my drift.
Now, when summer's scorching heat waves are right around the corner, it is best for me staying inside, with least exposure at possible. Zinc Oxide Based Sunscreen is a must for me, as it is gentle on the skin and give good protection as well.
I know now for a fact that it is the "acaric facial cleanser" that makes my face feel stiff and tight… and not the zz ointment.
I think it's safe to say that a nice complexion and tone enhances one's natural beauty, and makes you look like a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON… this does at least count for me, as either I look grim, hellish and worn-out, or GOOD.
Meanwhile undergoing this treatment, I'm religiously playing Final Fantasy XII and watching Silver Fang, both excellent in my eyes. Also watching "SHAYTARDS", what a great family.
I keep my mist-spray as my faithful companion, very helpful that (by the way, if anyone wants one of these mist-sprays "free of charge" of course, then all you have to do is ask… only one left).
Past times: I'd ofttimes catch myself presuming over too much, but the signs are becoming so vibrant and beyond obvious. Just merely 2 hours ago I all of a sudden felt an itch, right beneath my left sideburn (which I've never had any problems with, be that redness or unevenness), I then proceeded with walking into the bathroom just to check what possible reason… then (not to my surprise) I saw that area (solely) inflamed. It happened in the blink of an eye, literally… and it left me with a itchy and crawly sensation. I find this to be a very nerve wrecking phenomena. THOUGH, the redness disappeared half an hour after I applied the "zz ointment", and with it the itchy and crawly sensation.
All more reason to continue on treating myself for Demodex Mites, just wish I had discovered this earlier… past is past, it can bind a man as surely as iron can.
My microscope just arrived as well!
So much misery they've brought me...
I will keep on fighting with every ounce of my body, until victory is at hand.
These critters will get what they deserve, mark you my words.
