Default Tazorac - does it work

    Hi,

How does Tazorac compare to other topicals for rosacea?
I have sensitive skin and Psoriasis so I need something more than Rozex.

Hi pompom, welcome to the RF.

I can only speak from personal experience and as you know we are all different re what works and our symptoms etc but for me Tazorac was too harsh. However, I have not found any topical med that has not been too harsh for me so you may want to take my experience with a grain of salt.

Best way to see what will work for you is to trial it but do so slowly and cautiously and apply moisturizer before and wait a while before applying the med. I find well moisturized skin handles topical meds better than dry irritated skin.

What are your symptoms and what other treatments have you tried?

    Best,
    Melissa

Sorry I never posted my experience with Tazorac. I got a severe allergic reaction to it after a week or so. I was on Atarax for a couple of weeks. since then I have tried Finacea (Too harsh for me) and Nadifloxacin Gel.
I just got my hands on Retino AC gel today so will try that now. It's a shame that Metro does nothing for my P&P.
