    Default Clonidine questions

Hey guys, just got prescribed clonidine from my doctor after explaining my flushing problems.
50mcg twice a day (am and pm)

Few questions for you experienced Clonidine users:

    1) How long til you saw positive effects?
    2) When have you found is the best time to take Clonidine?
    3) Did Clonidine help with anxiety related flushes?
    4) Any tips to combat side effects?
    5) For the guys - any negative sexual side effects? (deal breaker for sure lol)

Any comments or experience is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

1.Effective for me within first couple of days (although I do absorb meds quickly!).
    2. Take mine 10am and 6 pm (rather strictly, can be trial & error)
    3. Emotional/hormonal/anxiety flushing YES!
    4. None, I had a range of side effects, some lessened as time went on we are on quite a low starting dose anyway.
    5. Being female, cannot comment, but NOT flushing really helped my sex drive anyway!

    Good luck!

........you gotta at this **** disease or you'd go mad!

YES! take with water and try NOT to read all the side effect blurb!

Some people get rebound flushing so HAVE to take it every 7/8 hrs on the dot.

when do you pick your tabs up?

    Hello John,

The tablets come in 25 mcg and the usual starting dose appears to be 50mcg twice a day (as prescribed by Prof Chu).

Sorry no experience of propanolol (tried it for hyperthyroidism & couldn't take due to side effects!).

    HTH.
