I have seen a number of eye Dr's over the years and recently one eye Dr. ( a specialist) has told me that I have Ocular Rosacea...yet another eye Dr has told me I have Blepharitis...so back and fourth. I'm currently on Torbadex 2 times a day and a RX eye drop 4 times a day. Its not helping..its basically irritating my eyes.
I do have to wonder if this eye condition is as I been told. Although I do get dry eye at times, and some minor "flakey stuff" for the most part my eyelids are rather clean, I do keep them that way. The only real gripe I have is the redness in the lids..seems nothing will tame it. I do use warm compress routinely. So I'm interested to know if I could have a totally different problem going on. Such as...What part of my body is creating the eyelid oils in such a thicker matter thus blocking the flow? I have currently read that other factors "can sometimes" contribute to this such as hormone imbalance, thyroid issues even cholesterol issues.
I also have to wonder if maybe I just have broken blood vessels in my eyelids causing such redness. Can anyone out there relate to these symptoms? Have any advice, any new info?
Thanks.
