Default Cambridge Skin and Laser Clinic - UK

    Hi

I know there are several users on this board who have been going to Dr. Holt at the Cambridge Skin an Laser Clinic, and I am wondering if they could give some feedback?

    Many thanks.

Well I had my 3rd ipl/aft with him on saturday at 16 joules it was pretty stingy and he hopes to get me up to 17 or 18 joules (On the Alma Harmony AFT this setting is high) He makes me feel at ease with the treatment and jokes about so I dont feel too panicky. I can see improvement in the blood vessels and when my face flushes especially my nose, it doesn't flush in one big block of pink its more broken up so I must have less capillaries
I did query about taking antibiotics post treatment but he said you wouldn't need it...so I guess thats less hassel aswell because I doubt my GP would prescribe them for that purpose anyway sorry for rambling on. XD

Default Feedback on 1320 Nd:Yag laser?

    Hello,
Has anybody had the 1320 Nd:Yag laser treatment at the Cambridge Skin and Laser Clinic? I am keen on trying the treatments but am wary of side effects (especially after reading about the side effects of the Nd:YAG 1064).
    Thanks in advance.

Interesting that only 16 joules, when i had ipl i think it was 28-30 joules. dr crouch in his protocol if you check it online think uses 24-28 joules. the ipl i had in ireland in 2010 was far too high for me. one derm i used to see said for someone with light fair skin tone like me that she would use 12-14 joules as anything higher would be too harsh. interesting to see what other level of joules people got?

    Default Cambridge Skin & Laser

Hi. I will be having my 6th IPL in Cambridge this week. My last one was also at 16 joules, and will be at 17/18 this week. There has been some good reduction in redness in general, but it don't seem to help my nose at all which is quite red (infact got worse since i started the treatment). Flushing is much better, especially from heat, which was a big problem for me.
    0.5 Clolidine Twice daily,
    5 IPL's,
    Occasional Elidel Cream,
    Sensible with Carbs.
