Default Skin problems = MSG sensitivity?

Hi all, just wanted to post a find. I know MSG (glutamates) has been talked about before, but I couldn't search for a thread as the search engine won't accept three letter keywords. My diet had been working very well for me and it seemed that redness was either stable or slowly diminishing and a drastic decrease in papules/pustules, especially on the chin area where I am prone to getting them.

Well, I've been on vacation in the states for over a month now and during that time my strict diet has been completely out the window. I ate everything I was told not to- eggs, milk products, wheat, rice, etc etc. Basically it was a free-for-all. Even then I didn't notice much change for a long time. Then I made myself some rice noodles I used to eat and like back when my face was in bad shape. I make them with some chicken boullion dissolved in water and then more to sprinkle on top. I made enough to eat 4 or 5 meals, All of a sudden, my chin broke out in a billion of almost hive-like, deep, painful sores. It's been almost a week and they seem to be very slowly healing, but I can still feel them there deep under the surface. I wish there was a way I could speed the healing process... I remember thinking before that chicken was no good for me because my face reacted badly to the chicken boullion which has a ton of MSG in it. Now I'm getting a severe reaction from the same thing again months later except now I know chicken is not the cause.

Anyway, to wrap up, I was researching MSG sensitivity and came across this forum post which is very old but still interesting: http://www.msgmyth.com/discus/messag...tml?1152974443

Seems like some people there attribute rosacea to neurotoxins in food like MSG, aspartame, etc.
Current skincare regime for rosacea subtypes I, II and IV started March, 2012:

*Strict diet. No dairy, wheat, sugar, nuts/seeds, legumes. Only meat, 'safe starches', and low-phenol starchy/unstarchy fruits and veggies and water with ghee, lard and duck fat as cooking aids and sources of fat. Also avoiding food intolerances.
Supplementing with raw food multivitamin, liquid zinc sulfate with copper, epsom salt baths (magnesium sulfate), calcium and vitamin C. Lots of water!

I have recently started to pay attention to MSG (and friends) in food as my rheum mentioned that it is linked to being a puzzle piece to fibromyalgia pain. I also tuned in to that website awhile back and was shocked to learn that most crops in the US (seeds, grains, veggies, fruits...and grapes) are sprayed with MSG as a fungicide!! Yick!

Foods that contain MSG does seem to make me react. I am sure that watched a programe recently that talked about some foods containing it naturally (or something very similar) and cheese was one of them.

When I was a little girl I found that whenever we ate chinese food I would experience a severe burning reaction from my neck all the way down my back. It was such a bad burning sensation that tears would involuntarily stream down my face from the reaction. We soon figured out it was the MSG in the food (not sure that MSG is still as prevalent now as it was back then though) and from then on I had my chinese food steamed only (and that meant I could only have steamed veggies, brown rice and tofu) and the reaction disappeared. So I guess I was overly sensitive to things from way back when...
