Default Oracea and Weight Gain/Bloating. Anyone else notice this?

I have taken Oracea off and on since it went on the market a few years ago so I am very familiar with this drug. I am a fairly fit, active woman and I have a very restricted but healthy diet. There seems to be a pattern of bloating and a feeling of weight gain while taking this even though these are not side effects. When I look back in my journal, I notice that I feel "flubbery" eventually after taking Oracea for some time.

I am just curious if anyone else has noticed this? Or maybe it's me just sleepwalking to the fridge in the middle of night. ;)

I've been on oracea for about 6 months. Haven't noticed that I'm getting "flubbery"

I've been on Oracea for 1.5 years now and no side effects so far. I still breakout even on Oracea but is
    much less than before.

    Hi,
I have been taking Oracea for 2 (maybe more) years but have not noticed this effect. However, it very well may be causing this side effect for you as we are all unique when it comes to these reactions. What are you taking it with? I recommend a full glass of water and do not recline at least for 2 hours after taking this med. If you are already doing that try taking the Oracea with a small snack such as a banana and see if that helps.

    Best,
    Melissa

I'm on regular doxy (not oracea) but I have noticed this as well. I take a probiotic and it seems to have helped a lot. Also making sure that I distinguish between true hunger and my stomach feeling odd from the medications (sometimes, mild stomach pain/cramps can sort of feel like hunger to me) seems to help for me.

    Best of luck

    That's a good suggestion MutantFrog.
I would just make sure to take the probiotic at least 4 hours apart from the doxy.

Tried the GoodBelly probiotics today. It tasted great but my face immediately started burning from it! Does that sound possible? I am going to try it again tomorrow to see if it was just coincidence.
