Default What makeup brand do you use?

I am wondering if any women (or men) use a brand of makeup that does not irritate their face? What is the best brand of makeup for people with rosacea?

    Thanks!

I don't think there's a 'one size fits all' answer to this. In my own experience, Dermablend does a great job covering up diffuse redness. It doesn't seem to irritate either.

I second this. I use Dermablend and it does a pretty good job at covering redness and blotchiness and even papules to some degree. The key is to use as little as you need to in order to make it look natural.

I have used Colorscience Sunforgettable and Jane Iredale. Also, using Physician's Formula bronzer. I love all three because of the SPF included!

god i have lost count of all the foundations i have tried or loved and then they get bloody discontinued! I used dermabelnd from my teens till early twenties but it became too drying. I currently use chanel silly expensive but don't seem to react to it although lately it does a piss poor job of covering my chronic afternoon flush!

True: a little really does go a long way. On a good day, I can get away without any make-up at all - or so I'm told by those who claim that I'm paranoid and making mountains out of molehills - but Dermablend gives me the confidence I had before my face succumbed to rosacea. Even the occasional flush doesn't look so prominent under a layer of Dermablend. I've been through quite a few tinted moisturisers and foundations and Dermablend wins hands down every time.

Try moisturising with coconut oil, then apply a sunblock and, on top of that, the Dermablend. Not only does the Dermablend go on more easily, it doesn't dry your skin out and you've got the extra protection of sunblock too. If I put Dermablend on naked skin, it does tend to dry and become a little cakey at times. But with an 'undercoat' of coconut oil and/or sunblock, it works much better.

For those of you that are talking about Dermablend--- what product are you referring to? I stopped by the mall this weekend to look at what they had, and they had a couple of different products. The sales lady was really pushing a thing (foundation?) that came in a little round jar and looked sort of like puddy, but there was also a liquid tube of concealer, and of foundation. I have never used any makeup before so I'm not really sure what I should be looking at. Which product specifically is it that you guys have used and liked?
