Default Is it possible sunlight is good for me?

    Folks,

I've been diagnosed with Rosacea months ago - during wintertime. Depending on how cold it was I had good days and bad ones, always afraid of spring and the sun since I'd read a lot on how much worse Rosacea can get in the summer.

Now it's getting warmer and warmer - and my condition seems to improve. I use sunscreen, but don't wear a hat and can't protect my face from the sun due to my line of work. Still, whenever I read anything about Rosacea and sunshine it always goes like "Stay the hell away from it!"

Could it actually be that sunshine, combined with sunscreen, is good for some Rosacea sufferers?

Have a great day everybody and thanks for answers,

    Lemon

Hi and welcome to the RF
Lots of us improve in the warmer weather and it could be a combination of no cold temp extremes that can induce flushing as you go from colder to warmer and also increased vit D levels in our blood.

When you have (lots of) time check out the vitamin D thread here:

and also read this pdf on warm room flushing here:

    Best wishes,
    Melissa
