Default Salad dressings are mostly spicey...

I've been noticing this; most salad dressing do have a bite to them, not jalapeno or anything of the like but still some definite kick which I feel afterwards and while I'm eating. The salad dressings I've noticed this most with are greek, italian, vinaigrette's, ceasar, etc etc. The only dressing that's really "mild" is french or ranch, I don't care for ranch and french gets old after about the 200th salad, lol. Can anyone make any dressing suggestions? I eat salad every night with dinner, I've tried just plain olive oil and while it's edible it's a little on the disgusting side, even with salt and pepper etc.

The "bite" you may be getting could be from the vinegar in the dressing. I find most bottled dressings are heavy on the vinegar and seasonings. Add a bit of extra oil or even water.
Depending on what you can tolerate trigger wise, a simple dressing of fresh lemon juice and olive oil, salt and pepper is good, or take a basic vinaigrette recipe and change it up with different herbs, garlic or even flavored oils or vinegars.

I chose to saty away from all vinegars and citrus (plus other things) and only used apple cider vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper. I found improvements pretty fast. I was advised to go this way because all the the other vinegars and oils are triggers because they contain natural preservatives. I'd recommend taking it simple for a little while and you might be surprised.

    Hi
I use Annie's Natural's Lemon and Chive dressing. It's pretty tasty and vinegar free.

Does this taste OK Megan?? That's the thing with just the plain olive oil, and salt/pepper/lemon juice. It doesn't taste very good to me.
